Good morning,
We are pleased to be able to set-out a plan for the resumption of the assessment elements of the Level 3 Diploma and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience whilst we navigate this unprecedented situation. Please read the following carefully:
End point assessment (EPA) update
Please see document below for access to AAPT publication on the resumption of your EPA practical assessments in your parent organisation – this plan has been put forward after consultation with all relevant colleagues (RSPH, AAPT and the North Tees Centre) and relates only to those candidates who applied for EPA in February this year. Could I ask that all candidates and mentors read this plan carefully and to remember that this plan represents an aspiration, not a commitment, as we cannot commit to timescales at this stage due to the uncertainties of the current Covid situation.
For those of you who have still yet to have your portfolios assessed then the next assessment period (EPA period 2) will commence in the autumn and the online application form for EPA will be opened from 1st August on the training web site (under the mentors link) – I will send you and update to remind you when the application form is available, and as above we cannot commit to timescales for EPA period 2 but we are confident that we can continue with this element of your course.
Exams
Finally for those of you requiring to sit the microbiology exam, pleaser make a note of the new exam date:
Microbiology: 19/11/20 Update exam now taking place on 17/12/20
