Once again I am going to struggle to attend this session due to staff shortage. Is it imperative that I attend, I know that it says you have to attend so many sessions during the course and I don't want to fail due to lack of attendance.
Hi Nicola - apart from total qualification time (1191 hours) you will also need to have attended a certain number of guided learning hours (441 hrs) - fortunately this can include activities in the workplace.
The theory elements on the level 4 diploma are assessed via:
1. Exams
2. Task bases assessment
3. Assignments
As your trust is paying the only issue I see is that should you fail any assessments they have the right to ask us questions about your study - but again this must be balanced against your service needs especially during this difficult situation.
What I recommend in your situation is that you watch all the online videos and that your organisation supports giving you time to watch them.
Please ask your mortuary or operational manager to contact me should they have any further queries.
Hope this helps,
Kind regards,
Darren
That is a great help. I will be able to watch them at home and catch up in my own time.
Fingers crossed I don't fail any assessments.
With one member of staff still on long term sickness and this unprecedented times, I am struggling to do anything during work time but more than happy to catch up in my own time avoiding failing.
