Submission of presentation

Hi all,

I’ve had a couple of emails over the past few days to confirm when your presentations need to be submitted by.

I have caught up with Darren and can confirm the last day for submission will be Tuesday 6th May.

This is to allow Darren and I to read your presentations and write down any questions we have.

Any issues please drop me an email!

Thank you!

All candidates: Forum changes on the training website

Hi all,

The forum on the training website that is used to send you messages from time to time is changing as it will no longer be supported by the website software company. In its place will be a new app called 'Groups'.

When you drop by the website again please ensure follow your specific group (i.e. your cohort).

Thanks for this Jessica... I feel like last year we had an alert if any messages were posted on the Forum, but I haven't had any for the last 3 posts so wasn't aware of them... Do I need to sign up to updates somewhere that I've missed? Kind regards, Bex

Please have a read at the following summary of Key Points from the latest Mortuary Managers and Senior APTs study event. If might be worth thinking about some of these topics areas for later on in the course (especially for Unit APT 4.2 Governance & Administration of the mortuary).

Mortuary Managers and Senior APTs study event 21st March 2025 recap

Summary of Key Points from the Fuller Inquiry Phase 1 Implementation Meeting:

  1. Security Enhancements:

  • CCTV Implementation: Installed at entry points and fridge doors (not PM tables) to balance security with dignity/legal compliance. Cameras are restricted to avoid capturing sensitive procedures (e.g., forensic PMs).

  • Access Control: Shift from generic to individualized access cards, with audits to remove leavers’ access. Some Trusts restrict access to working hours for non-essential staff (e.g., pathologists, trainees).
