Following on from various discussions within the profession we [North Tees] wish to conduct a scoping exercise nationally to determine if there is both a need and support for qualification (s) above level 4 for APTs.
Could you please pass the following link for the survey below (or this email) to your line manager (s) to answer some brief questions we would like to collate data for:
This is for training on the apprenticeship programme and we will be sharing the results of this survey with you and the various universities interested in delivery of this training.
The rationale for this survey is to see if such advanced training would be supported by employers and your managers, as they would need to sign and agree apprenticeship contracts and support staff with their training.
The format and delivery of any advanced training has not yet been decided and we are in discussions with various higher education institutions about this. For example, one of the models we are exploring is that completion of the level 4 HCS Diploma (APT) grants progression direct to the second year of a degree programme (level 6 qualification).
