Travel and Accommodation Advice

If you planning to stay over during your visit we would suggest staying at one of the following hotels at the Hartlepool Marina:

Travelodge Hartlepool Marina

Premier Inn Hartlepool Marina hotel

We are unable to provide accommodation however; there are plenty of rooms available. The rooms are reasonably priced and I would seriously suggest you book them as early as possible as early deals can be as little as £24.00 per night.

We have chosen these hotels as they are extremely reasonably priced, they are right next to the railway station and are in a lovely location right on the Marina in Hartlepool which also has many restaurants in the vicinity... you may even want to visit the famous "monkey" while you are there! Please note – the Travelodge does not supply hairdryers!

The hotels are approximately 0.4 miles from Hartlepool train station:

If you book into these hotels during your stay you will be eligible for transport to the centre in Stockton and back again on both days.

You will be contacted before you commence your training with us, via the online forum on this site, with specific transport pick up times to and from the Centre at North Tees Hospital. Please ensure you check your specific cohorts forum a couple of days before your travel.

Mini buses / taxis. The centre  in Stockton (North Tees Hospital) is around 11 miles away from Hartlepool.

Travelling to Hartlepool Rail Station

  • Hartlepool train station is on routes from Newcastle train station - if you are planning on flying into Newcastle. Flights from around the country do land at Newcastle  (Bristol, London etc.) so it may be worth checking as it is pretty cheap and probably quicker! Hartlepool is around a 40 minute train journey from Newcastle.

  • If you are planning a train journey, you may have to change at York / Darlington / Doncaster... Hartlepool is on direct routes from London and takes approximately 3 hours.

  • If you are travelling South on the Friday you may want to look at booking return train journeys from Thornaby or Stockton then hopping in a taxi from North Tees Hospital (about £3 or £4) as this will save the half hour travel back to Hartlepool as the centre is based in Stockton.

  • If you are coming by car - the post code for the centre is: TS19 8PE. We have negotiated a deal with our parking team so there will be no charge for parking. You will be issued with instruction as how to leave the car park once you are here.

  • There is also the "Megabus" option which stops in Middlesbrough seats on the Megabus from various locations are priced at £5.00 each... will take you a long time to get here and get back, but it is cheap and cheerful and I am sure we could give you enough homework to do to keep you occupied! If you do plan on using Megabus, your stop is Middlesbrough, close to the train station... it is then around a 10 minute journey onto Hartlepool.

North Tees Centre
