    • Assessor reports returned to the North Tees Centre by end of June

    • Internal verification by mid July

    • External verification completed by the RSPH before end of July

Your assessor will review your e-portfolio and may also ask to see additional documentation (e.g. SOPs) prior to the visit.

What happens when my application for end point assessment (EPA) has been received (level 4 Diploma)?

Your details will be logged by the North Tees Centre and your request will also be sent to the lead APT assessor. Once the application window has closed, all candidates ready for assessment will be then be assessed virtually by a team of senior AAPT assessors. This can up to 8 weeks to complete.

Please note there will be no external assessor visiting your organisation for the level 4 diploma.

Once portfolios have been externally assessed, they will go forward for RSPH external verification - this can take up to 8 weeks to complete.

Final confirmation of results will be issued by the RSPH approx. 4 weeks after the external verification process has completed.

Dates on certificates will be dated from the date the RSPH have completed all their quality and admin checks.

E-portfolios and IG

If assessors notice any confidential or patient identifiable information in any e-portfolios (or paper versions) they will advise the candidate to remove or anonymise any data.

To provide further security to all our candidate’s data / evidence, access to individual e-portfolios is now restricted between the following 3rd parties:

Individual e-portfolios:

·         Candidate.

·         AAPT Assessor (access link will automatically be sent to the external assessor once allocated).

Cohort (all candidates e-portfolios):

·         North Tees Centre.

·         RSPH external verifier (external verifiers will be sent access to entire course e-portfolios).

Notice

Please be aware that the North Tees Centre has limited control over the external assessment and external verification process.

Although we try to plan and timetable these to ensure the timely completion of your qualification, both activities do rely on APT volunteers and is wholly dependent on their availability. Any quires or concerns with either, should in the first instance, be directed to the North Tees Centre.
