May I take this opportunity to say that I am looking forward to meeting (virtually) some of you again! You may not be use to the virtual way we carry out training these days so please read the following:
The first day of your training will commence on the 11/02/22 and will cover some basic pathology relating to external observations of the human body, internal disease / trauma of organs and finally diagnostic testing (e.g. histology, genetics etc.) to confirm any underlying diseases causes.
Candidates will be expected to take a more personalised approach to set work (e.g. submission of assignments) and task based assessments (e.g. giving a presentation to your cohort peers) and also more scope to manage their own time and training schedules.
The course will also cover some broader managerial aspects relating to quality management, business continuity plans, training and assessing of others and more specialist mortuary based skills. These will no doubt be useful skills for those of you wishing to take on more managerial roles in the future (if you are not already doing so).
I will guide you throughout your time with us about what you need to do, so please do not worry at this stage – all will become clear!
I will add the timetable for your first session for you to download at the beginning of February 2022 (the timetable will be available in your cohorts password protected area under 'centre visit 1' link). Your cohort’s password to access this area has been sent with your course joining instructions - you will need to enter this password in zoom at the start of each online meeting with us.
With this in mind, please ensure you have appropriate IT access (e.g. mobile device or laptop) for this online training that will run from 10am to approx. 4pm on each session with us. You do not need a camera or microphine to access our zoom meetings (just headphones /speaker so that you can hear me) so have you mugs of coffeee and tea ready on the day!
The zoom meeting room ID can also be found in your cohorts password protected area - this zoom meeting ID number will not change. For those of you unfamiliar with zoom, when starting it please click the 'Join a meeting' and then enter your cohorts 10 digit unique number starting with 704 xxx xxxx.
Thats all for now and I look forward to meeting you all February 2022.
Kind regards,
Darren
Hi, I had to message them for the cohort password. Joining instructions may be on the website.
Has everyone received the joining instructions and cohort password? :)
