Before attempting the online quiz on the previous page please read all sections below and take notes as you go to produce revision guides to help with your exam questions.

 

Quiz exam questions can be based on any material presented to you during the course including presentations, assignments and any guided reading contained on this page relating to LO1 for this module (Awareness of the human anatomy).

Cardiovascular System

 

In the section we will be focusing on the structure and function of the heart, and blood flow through the major vessels to and from the heart. Also covered in more detail are the two types of circulation: Pulmonary circulation and Systemic circulation.

Respiratory System

 

In this section we will be focusing on the air passage through the upper and lower respiratory tract and then gas exchange at the cellular level. The function of each part of the respiratory system will also be briefly discussed. Also described are the muscles and other support structures required for respiration.

Lymphatic System

 

In this section we will be focusing on the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system (as described in the syllabus) to include lymphatic drainage, spleen and lymph nodes. Also covered is circulation of lymph around the body and its movement through the lymphatic system.

Musculo-Skeletal System

 

In this section we will be focusing on the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system and its primary functions. The online learning will also include notes on how the bones and muscles of musculoskeletal system interact with each and also the role of the different connective tissue types.
